This charming Victorian cottage on the Salisbury Estate in Hatfield received a thoughtful upgrade that respects its character while bringing it into the 21st century. The original kitchen, tucked in a conservatory-style extension at the rear beside the out‑rigger, was replaced with a beautifully insulated, light-filled addition.

The new extension flows naturally into the dining room, blending modern comfort with period charm. We retained the cottage’s historic features, using Flemish bond brickwork complemented by feature detailing over the windows and doors to match the original architecture.
