Extension of Banyers Hotel, Grade 2 listed building in Royston,

Planning permission has been granted for a 2 storey rear extension and the internal refurbishment of the Banyers Hotel in Royston.

HAL were involved from the inception, carrying out the measured survey and throughout the planning process which has involved consultation with English Heritage and conservation officer at the council. The building is a Grade 2 listed building which has been vacant for some time and was purchsed by Beechdale Homes to convert it into a 'boutique hotel'.

The proposals have been supported by the local community as it has helped to revitalise the town.

The hotel, now known as banyers House, is now owned by Oakman Inns & Restaurants and has been finished to a high standard.
